FuryBee News is a front page built from public RSS feeds. It does not host or rewrite articles: each card shows the headline, a short snippet and an image from the feed, and opens the original publisher.
The language follows your browser (French browsers get French sources) and can be switched on the page. Sources include BBC News, The Guardian, NPR, Al Jazeera, TechCrunch, The Verge, Ars Technica and Nature in English, and Le Monde, Le Figaro, France Info, Numerama and Futura Sciences in French.
Key features
01
Two languages
34 English feeds and 29 French feeds, chosen from your browser language and switchable.
02
Eight categories
General, tech, business, finance, science, sport, culture and gaming, in each language.
03
Fresh, not frantic
Feeds are fetched again at most every five minutes; a Refresh button reloads on demand.
04
Instant filter
Filter the loaded headlines by title, source or snippet.
05
Installable
A web manifest lets you add it to your home screen. Light and dark themes are remembered locally.
How it works
A small Node.js server fetches the feeds, keeps them in memory for five minutes and renders the first page on the server, so headlines show up without waiting for JavaScript. Each feed contributes up to ten items. Article images load from the publishers with no referrer.
